Inspection Trip
Turkish Inspection trips are a good way to see what the country and area have to offer. That is why Fethiye has a lot going for it, ranging from ruins, to islands, to skiing in the mountains, and so on. The best way is to book your own flights and property inspection trip. Beware not to arrange a so called cheap £49 inspection trip, with a large UK estate agency, which you see online, or at a property show. They generally charge developers between 10 and 20% per property sold. Guess who funds this, the buyer of course. Normally you will be quoted a heavily inflated price during a 4 or 5 day inspection trip, whereby your UK agent even has dinner with you, and they put you up in a luxury hotel, out of town, to stop you looking at the competition. Search google & Youtube for many of these horror stories. In Turkey you pay 3% commission to the agent on top of the purchase price- in some case this is included.
